It is a non-clinical environment where staff don't wear uniforms and families are encouraged to treat the hospice as a home-from-home.

By Lisa, Daniel's mum...

"I first heard about EACH at Quidenham after Daniel was born - he spent his first two months of life in a neonatal intensive care unit. A nurse told me about the Hospice and looked into getting short break care at home for us, as well as overnights stays at Quidenham.

"I was a little scared of the word ‘hospice’ and my first thought was, would it be like the hospice where my mum died? I couldn’t have been more wrong. Our first visit was such an eye opener – a beautiful location in South Norfolk, and a lovely old country farmhouse sort of thing!"

"I stayed in a fab room, very much like a hotel, and I just thought the place had an air of life and love about it, nothing remotely sad or depressing. The staff were and still are so fantastic, and we both like coming here whenever we can - we both feel like we have had a complete break afterwards."

"As time goes on and my son's problems and needs change,
the hospice is a fantastic stable part of our life."
