Requesting journal articles

For those journal articles you can’t access electronically with your athens password, we can obtain these for you.

If we do not have the journal in stock, we will attempt to obtain your articles from another library which we have reciprocal arrangements with, free of charge - just postal charges will apply. However, if this isn’t possible, articles or book loans can be obtained from the British Medical Association (BMA) or British Library.

To request your articles, please fill in the word document below. Due to copyright restrictions, you will need to print off and sign the form and send back to the library. Please indicate on the form if you would like us to contact the British Medical Association or British Library if we cannot obtain it free through our reciprocal scheme.

Charges for articles from the BMA and British Library are detailed below.

• British Medical Association (BMA) photocopies = £4.26 + £1 admin fee
• British Library photocopies = £10.47 + postage + £1 admin fee
