Lavenham Church Concert raises thousands for Treehouse Appeal
A concert featuring the choirs of Jesus College Cambridge has raised in excess of £10,000 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH ) Treehouse Appeal
The concert was organised by Jonathan Hunt, husband of Treehouse Appeal committee member Diana Hunt. The concert took place in Lavenham Church on 12th November in front of a capacity of 520 people raising a total of £10,235.17 for the cause.
Mr Hunt said "I am absolutely delighted by the response we had to the concert and amazed that we raised more than £10,000 for such a worth-while cause."
The concert was sponsored by Miles Waterscapes Ltd, which is run by Rob Orford and his brother Roger Orford.
The cheque was presented to Melanie Chew, Director of Fundraising (EACH) and Graham Butland, Chief Executive (EACH) on Sunday 28th November at Charter Square, Arc, Bury St Edmunds by Jonathan Hunt, and Rob and Roger Orford where the EACH Bury St Edmunds Annual Santa Run was being held.
