End of Life Care

Our priority is to ensure that the sickest children and those approaching the end of their lives receive the best possible medical and emotional support. Understandably, parents often want their child to be in safe and familiar surroundings, either at home or in one of our hospices, when they are nearing the end of their life. Medical support is provided by specialist nurses and carers to enable all the family to be together for their last precious days and moments. Wherever the child dies, we can also arrange for their body to stay at the hospice for as long as required until the funeral, giving the family valuable extra time to say goodbye privately and as they wish.
