3 Sept 09: Volunteer for EACH

3rd September 2009

Volunteers from across East Anglia are being invited to help out at their local East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) shop.

Not only will volunteers be able to help EACH to continue providing care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Ipswich, Quidenham and Milton in Cambridge.

But they will also be able to make new friends and learn many new skills in the process.

Volunteering positions in any of the nine EACH shops are suitable for people of all ages and experiences and could be particularly beneficial to people who are out of work, looking for work experience or wanting to put something back into their local community.

All that we ask is that you can spare at least half a day per week, Monday- Saturday.

Karen Boxall, EACH’s Retail Support Manager, said: "We are always looking for volunteers to help out in our shops, which raise vital funds for EACH.

"Volunteers at our shops get the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends as well knowing they are helping a good cause."

EACH has stores in the following locations: Essex: Colchester and Halstead, Suffolk: Ipswich and Lowestoft and Norfolk: Attleborough, Diss, Long Stratton, Wymondham and Downham Market as well as a central distribution centre in Brunel Way, Thetford.
