People from all walks of life are being encouraged to trek the Arabian Desert from the Dead Sea to the city of Petra, which is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, to help life-threatened children and their families across East Anglia.
The Children’s Hospice Trekking Challenge, which will take place this year from October 28 - November 1, will see adventurers trekking more than 45 km in three days, to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The event has been organised by Global Adventure Challenges, who already organise treks to Everest base camp, Kilimanjaro and Morocco to raise funds for EACH.
It is hoped The Children’s Hospice Trekking Challenge, which is a national children’s hospice fundraiser, will raise thousands of pounds to help life-threatened children and their families.
Peter Robinson, Director of Events at Global Adventure Challenges said: "We are very excited about the third hospice challenge and hope it will be bigger and better than previous years.
"By taking part in this challenge, people from all over the UK can come together, have an amazing challenge and also aid this wonderful, but vital community service."
To take part in this fantastic challenge, participants will need to pay a registration fee of £149, and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,850.
All travel, accommodation, refreshments, guides, medical support and fitness training is included in the price.
