6 Oct 09: Sudbury Supermarket Collection
6th October 2009
Shoppers at Sudbury’s Somerfield supermarket have dug deep into their pockets to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
On Saturday September 26, a total of £133.15 was raised through a collection at the store, despite fundraisers only being at the store for a short time.
Claire LeLievre, EACH community fundraising assistant for Suffolk, said: "The amount that was raised at Somerfield supermarket in Sudbury was brilliant as we could only cover a small portion of the day.
"It’s great to know we have supporters across the region and we are incredibly grateful to all of those shoppers who donated money to EACH."
EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Ipswich in Suffolk, which also serves North Essex, Quidenham in Norfolk and Milton in Cambridgeshire.
