17 Feb 10: Raising funds is child's play

17th February 2010

Children’s hospice care across East Anglia has been given a boost thanks to a leading children’s toy manufacturer.

Orchard Toys, designers and manufacturers of children’s educational games and jigsaw puzzles, have announced an on-going charity partnership with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The partnership will see EACH, which provides care and support to life-threatened children and their families, featured in Orchard Toys’ product leaflets and sales brochures which are distributed to customers and retailers across the globe, and on the company’s website: www.orchardtoys.com

The partnership will raise awareness of EACH to the company’s vast retailer and customer base (Orchard Toys sell 1.25 million products per year) and encourage charitable donations.

Simon Newbery, Orchard Toys Managing Director, said: "It is only fitting that a company who design and manufacture children’s educational games and jigsaws should seek to help a children’s charity.

"We are delighted to be in a position to promote and sponsor the valuable work EACH is doing to support families caring for children with life-threatening conditions."

Carl Brooks, EACH corporate fundraiser said: "We can’t thank Orchard Toys enough for choosing EACH to benefit from an ongoing charity partnership.

"EACH relies upon public support for the majority of its required annual income of £5.8 million, and a partnership of this nature will provide many new and exciting fundraising opportunities for us."
