8th September 2009
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) are giving members of the public the chance to see what goes on at their hospices across the region by hosting open days and evenings throughout September and October.
EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Ipswich in Suffolk, Quidenham in Norfolk and Milton in Cambridgeshire; all three of which will be open to the public.
Quidenham will host an open evening on September 23rd and an open day on September 24th, Milton will host an open day on October 8th and Ipswich will host an open evening on October 20th and an open day on October 21st.
Anyone who attends the open events, all of which must be booked in advance, will have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour, ask questions, meet staff and discover that our hospices really are ‘Places for Living’.
No children will be in residence between these times, so it will be an ideal opportunity to see just what bright, fun and vibrant places our hospices are, without disturbing any children or families.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of some of the work of the children’s hospice, our open days are not appropriate for under 14’s to attend, but school parties can be accommodated with prior arrangement with the area Community Fundraiser.
