2 Dec 09: Hot Diggidy Dog

2nd December 2009

Stowmarket band, Hot Diggidy Dog, have raised more than £1,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

This month Hot Diggidy Dog performed at the Limes Hotel in Needham Market, and managed to raise £1,208 for EACH.

Laura Climpson, event organiser, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to every one who came to the gig and to those who donated raffle prizes.

"Thank you to Geoff Rackham and all his staff at the Limes Hotel in Needham Market for letting us use the venue and finally abig thank you to all band Members: Vicky Wilby (Vocalist), Robert Climpson (Drums), Colin Gedney (Rhythm Guitarist), Alex Reiley (Bass Guitarist) and Chris Last (Lead Guitarist.)."

Mark Fox, EACH community fundraising co-ordinator for Suffolk, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Hot Diggidy Dog, who not only entertained the crowd and ensured everyone had a great night, but also managed to raise an incredible sum for EACH."

EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Ipswich in Suffolk, which also serves North Essex, Quidenham in Norfolk and Milton in Cambridgeshire.

This year it is anticipated that it will cost about £5.8 million to run all three of our hospice services - approximately 72 per centof this is required from voluntary donations.
