22 Sept 09: Harrod Football Club
22nd September 2009
An annual 5-a-side football match has raised a fantastic £500 for local charity East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).
Harrod Football Club organised the match which took place on Sunday 2nd August at Kirkley High School in Lowestoft.
The entry fee was £25 and helpers made rolls for people to buy which helped boost their total.
The match was organised by Darrel Hibbert and Ian McMeakan who would particularly like to thank Chris Harrod for his help, as well as all those who made and sold the rolls and entered a team into the match.
EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Ipswich in Suffolk, Quidenham in Norfolk and Milton in Cambridgeshire.
Community Fundraiser Jessica Hiscocks said: "It is great to see local communities such as this pulling together to raise money for EACH.
"Thank you to everyone who helped raise money for their local hospice."
