A Pulham Market farm shop has raised hundreds of pounds for Quidenham children’s hospice
The award-winning Goodies Farm Shop, which is run by Stuart & Kim Gooderham has raised £800 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). They staged a ‘pick a square’ game which saw people pay £1 for a numbered square which was then randomly drawn in a raffle. The lucky winners scooped a luxury Christmas hamper worth £200, and a large cuddly teddy bear.
Mr Gooderham said: “The Quidenham children’s hospice is a charity very close to my heart. Many of us take everyday for granted, but the children and their families at the hospice can’t do that.
“Supporting the EACH Quidenham hospice means we are supporting our local community.
“We want to do anything we can to help children and parents cared for by EACH which is why we have chosen them as the Goodies Farm Shop charity for 2011.”
January 23-29 is Farmhouse Breakfast Week, and throughout this time Goodies Farm Shop will be hosting a series of fundraising activities for EACH. For every breakfast sold £1 will be donated to the charity and during the week there will be a business speed networking breakfast as well as a talk by South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon.
Claire LeLievre, EACH Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for South Norfolk, said: “We can’t thank Stuart and Kim at Goodies Farm Shop enough for their support. Being chosen as their charity for 2011 is such a wonderful gesture, which we hope will raise vital funds as well as boost our profile in the local community.
“I know they are planning some wonderful fundraising opportunities throughout 2011 and I hope these will inspire visitors to Goodies Farm Shop to donate to the cause.”
