Last Sunday, thirteen 5-a-side football teams got together at the UEA Sportspark for a charity football tournament in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH).
The event, which was sponsored by Midwich, was a great success, raising £950 for the charity. Norfolk Tennis were the winners of the tournament, and the EACH team came a very respectable 4th place, despite some members not having played for 20 years!
EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families at the Quidenham hospice, and in family homes throughout the region.
EACH Corporate Fundraiser Carl Brooks took part in the tournament, and commented "The 5-a-side tournament was a fantastic day - the sun shone and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. At EACH we rely on public support for the vast majority of our income, so the money raised will make a real difference."
The event was organised by Richard Carman of Heath Lambert. Heath Lambert have been supporting EACH as their chosen charity this year, and have organised a wide range of fundraising activities from collections at the Theatre Royal to a recent zip slide!
