Hospitality and catering students in Norwich are hoping to tantilise taste buds with international cuisine whilst raising funds for a vital cause.
Students from City College’s Hotel School will host the ‘All Around the World buffet and quiz night’ in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) on April 1.
The All Around the World event is part of the college’s BTEC Front of house certificate. The students are required as part of their qualification to organise, promote and run an event.
Moira Hinde, Lecturer at the hotel school, said: “By holding this event, the students hope to realise their ability to organise events, and some may choose to pursue this as a career.
“We decided to support the charity mainly because it’s local and we felt it was very deserving of support.
“There will be some fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs including at stay at Blakeney hotel for two, a meal for two at the Holiday Inn, plus great cookery books from Russum catering cupplies and £20 voucher for the Debut restaurant. The winning quiz team will also receive a Easter egg.
The ‘All Around the World buffet and quiz night’ will take place at City College’s Debut Restaurant on Friday April 1 and will run from 7pm- 10pm. Tickets are £9.50 per person and are on sale at the hotel reception by calling: 01603 773391.
