Daredevils from across East Anglia are being encouraged to take to the skies to raise much-needed funds for a children’s hospice.
At Beccles Airfield on Saturday June 11, thrill-seekers who have signed-up to complete a skydive in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) will not only experience freefall from 12,000ft reaching speeds of 120mph but also have the satisfaction of knowing they are raising vital funds for charity.
Anyone who signs-up to take the plunge for EACH will take part in a tandem skydive with an instructor who will open the parachute after a mile of freefall, before guiding the pair of you back down to the airfield.
Jess Hiscocks, EACH fundraiser, said: “Taking part in a skydive is an exhilarating way to raise vital funds to support life-threatened children and their families.
“We regularly run charity skydive events and everyone says how much fun they are and what a great sense of achievement they feel, so why not sign-up and experience this for yourself?”
If you want to experience the ultimate 'rush' it costs to £200 per person to enter, which includes a £50 non-refundable deposit. Participants are also asked to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship for EACH.
Places are still available so to sign-up or receive more information, contact Claire Lelievre on: (01953 715538) or Jessica Hiscocks on: (01953) 715533.
