A ladies-only gym in Ely has raised money for a local children’s hospice.
Energie Fitness in Buttermarket, Ely, held a raffle and raised £150 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The gym, which is run by Linda McCormack and opened in September 2010, is proving to be a great success and already has 190 members.
Members of Energie Fitness donated prizes including gift vouchers, beauty products and a homemade Christmas cake for the raffle which took place at a Christmas shopping event at the gym on November 25.
Linda said: “We wanted to support a local charity so we chose EACH because it’s such an important charity. My sons are pupils at The King’s School, who are strong supporters of EACH, which is another reason for supporting the charity.
“We all had a good time and I’m sure we will fundraise for EACH in the future.”
Nicky Jackson, EACH Community Fundraiser, said: “It’s wonderful to have the support of Energie Fitness and we would like to thank Linda and all the members who contributed and took part in the raffle.”
