08.Mar.11: Support EACH through the London Triathlon 2011

8th March 2011

Take part in the world’s largest triathlon for EACH
Athletes of all abilities are being urged to swim, cycle and run to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

EACH, which provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families across East Anglia and North Essex, has a number of charity places for the Virgin Active Health Clubs London Triathlon 2011, which takes place at the ExCeL centre, London on July 30 and 31.

The Virgin Active Health Clubs London Triathlon 2011 is the largest event of its kind in the world. Set in London’s Docklands, the event sees more than 13,000 participants swim, cycle and run around a specially designed course that winds through some of London’s most famous landmarks including Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

It’s possible to take part as an individual, competing in all three disciplines, or entering as part of a team and dividing the three parts. You don’t have to be a pro to enter either- each year around half of those taking part have never entered a triathlon before.
EACH has a limited number of places available, and if you do choose to compete for the charity we will be able to provide you with full support including fundraising advice and training tips.
Individuals are asked to pay £84 pp to register and pledge to raise a minimum of £500. For teams of three registration is £264 and the team must pledge to raise a minimum of £1000. Last date for registration is June 3.
