20 Oct 09: Cambridge Santa Run
20th October 2009
Santas have strutted their stuff on the catwalk to launch this year’s Cambridge Santa Run in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The annual event, which sees people dressing up in Santa suits and running through the centre of Cambridge to raise funds, was launched in style on the catwalk at The Grafton’s recent Model Search competition.
The Cambridge Santa Run this year takes place at 10am on Sunday December 13th. The route is approx 2km - starting at The Grafton, which is generously sponsoring the event again this year, and finishing at Parker's Piece.
The route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, so everyone can come and join in on one of the most fun fundraising events of the year.
Karen Chesney, EACH events fundraiser, said: "Santa Runs are a great way to have fun and raise vital funds for EACH, and we hope as many people as possible sign up the event."
Adult entry is £10 and children under 13 are £5. As an added bonus, if you already own a Santa suit you can enter the Santa Run for a reduced price.
